Today I've had to use our famous «Y» highway from Uviéu to Xixón, and what a sorprise!, all those drivers, like me, have been informed about the number of killed people in traffic accidents since January on the 1st (with messages in the digital panels which DGT has in several points of the highway). Well, it isn't sorprising, I know, but what has caught my eye was that DGT were using Spanish and English to put across this dramatic notice.
It reminds me when I went to Jaen and I could see some panels and traffic signs in Arabic language. It was (is) because of Morrocan (and other arabic countries) were (are) very close to the South of Spain, and DGT knew (knows) that many arabic people could be (can be) using our roads. It is a way of informing foreign people and trying to reduce traffic accidents.
And it has happened the same day in which I have known that PSOE has decided to remove the Asturian language from the official institutions. We are starting to see the false intention to keep our asturian culture which the asturian government has.
According to that, I think it will be a terrible legislature for people who believe in Asturian culture and in what it means. But, beside beeing good for english tourism (and drivers in general), I hope that asturianism can take advantage of these situations (because there will be many situations like this one, I'm sure) and could present a project of future for Asturies.

Los rasgos culturales (ya identitarios) siguen argayando per estes tierres asturianes, anque a poco más vamos tener que falar de cementu y formigón asturianos, por muncho que cuatro esmolecíos chipiritiflautes quieran facenos creer lo contrario.
Y el casu ye esi, argayando vamos metiendo nel estoyu del escaezu esos rasgos culturales que nos delimiten de los demás pueblos que tán na redolada. ¿A quién-y pue interesar eso, escaecer la cultura propia? Pues yo tengo la mio idea obsesiva cola que podría escribir la segunda parte de dalgún best-seller novelescu, pero como falar de los incompetentes que mos gobiernen faime ferver la sangre, meyor sigo falando del puntu central d'esta entrada al debalu na rede: los teitos.
Los teitos ye'l meyor exemplu d'inoperancia y dexadez de funciones qu'unos políticos d'un país tan pequeñu pero galán como'l nuestru pueden amosar. Toles conseyeríes y responsables d'alministrar, xestionar, esparder y afitar los rasgos culturales que mos son propios, ¿qué ficieron nestos venti años? Pues lo dicho, vergoña con lletres mayúscules. Y equí nun pasa nada. Los cuatro que naguamos por caltener el respetu y la dignidá del nuestru pueblu echamos les manes na tiesta. A los demás, impórta-yos bien poco los teitos, eso sí, que nun falte la sidra nes fiestes de prau, nin el bollu preñáu, y puxa Sporting y les fiestes de San Mateo.
Nun sé vosotros, pero yo sigo coles manes na tiesta...

Nun m'interesen les pallabres del mieu que venden mieu, de la falsedá que mata la xusticia nos mesmos llabios, de la vergüenza con arume político, del desconsuelu del que nun ye naide, del escaezu onde aporten les coses probes qu'a naide-y importen, del fríu qu'entra pel costazu en busca de trabayu.
Nun me gusten les pallabres ferruñoses porque al besales, manquen; nin les que nacen pa caer como piedres sobre les esperances del mundu.
Porque les pallabres nomen el mundu que ta al rodiu de les coses qu'amamos. Asina, a veces, val más callar.

¿Cuántes llingües cimbren pel mundu?, pallabres qu'esnalen d'un llau pa otru y reboten o españen pa tornar al silenciu d'au nacieron. Sonidos qu'en gargüelu los vestimos pa llanzalos al mundu, la mayor de les vegaes, al debalu. Y a vegaes falo un dialeutu del silenciu.
